Gladys Knight & The Pipsの鬼レアな傑作"It's A Better Than Good Time (Walter Gibbons Mix)"の正規復刻盤に続き、今度は同じ[Buddah Records]から1979年にリリースされていたBlack Ivory - Mainlineも正規ライセンス復刻されました。Aleem、Bumblebee Unlimited、Convertion、Dazzle、Inner Life、Logg、Phreek、The Universal Robot Bandなど数々のディスコ・グループに関与し名曲を多数残してきたシンガー/ソングライター、Leroy Burgessがライティングを手がけた不朽のガラージ・クラシックです。また、B面には1976年リリースの"Walking Downtown (Saturday Night)"を収録。こちらはRon Hardyらもプレイしてきたソウル・ブギー古典(しかもオリジナル12インチは"Mainline"よりもレア)。おいしい一枚ですね!!
