イビサのレジェンドであり「バレアリック」の始祖的な存在としてその名を知られ、昨年71歳で亡くなったDJ Alfredoがコンパイルを手掛けたコンピレーションがイタリアの[Rebirth]から登場。このサンプラー第1弾には、今は亡きAndrew Weatherallがリミックスを手掛けた1990年リリースのマッドチェスター系ダンス・トラックDeep Joy"Fall (Let There Be Drums)"を皮切りに、それと毛色の近いダンス・ロック古典"Je$u$ on the Payroll"、ヒップハウス感を含んだ初期KC Flight & Blazeによるプロト・ハウス傑作"Let's Get Jazzy"、'95年UK発のクリアでアシッディーなダウンテンポ・バレアリック・トラック"Blinky Blue Eyed Sunrise"という4曲を収録しています。その当時のリアルな現場を知るAlfredoによる選曲をどうぞお楽しみください！(Morihiro)
