つい先日出たばかりの"Magic Wand 16"に続いて、Coyote主宰[Is It Balearic?]傘下の[Magic Wand]から間髪入れず新作がお目見え。ロックや80'sシンセ・ポップ路線のバレアリック・ダンス・エディットを展開していった(B-2にはWham!のインスト・エディットも有り)今回もナイスな一枚です！
Magic Wand's 17th sizzling outing is another various artists affair with plenty of downtempo goodness and grown up Balearic sounds. An RSS Clandestine dub of 'Somebody Told Me' opens up with a slow motion and spangled deep disco groove, lush synth work and a great vocal that sounds like Robert Smith. Baz Bradley lays down some organic piano chords over his drawn out downtempo grooves and Secret Soul Society's 'When The Night' brings some late night deepness and humid synth work with a great Whitney vocal sample. It's a funky Wham rework that closes down with nice leggy drums.
